DAVID GOROSPE GRAPHIC DESIGN-ART
DAVID GOROSPE / WORK BIOGRAPHY
"I've been doing something creative in my life as far
as I can remember, and that's what still keeps me
going today."
After taking serious art classes all through junior high and high school. I went on to the Art Institute of Seattle and received my Associates of Applied Arts in visual communications in 1989. Did alot of freelance graphic design work right out of school, along with a side career in abstract painting. Worked a few years as a pressman's assitant on web press printing (newspapers) to gain more knowledge of the pre-press/printing side. I figured this would only help my as a designer. Then I moved on to working in the sign and vinyl industry for about 3 years til mid 1995.
From there I went on to work in the athletic sports ball industry at Baden Sports where I would work as a designer/manager in their
in-house creative department for nearly 20 years. I gained a wide range of experiences from rubber pad printing, ball designing,
manufacturing process of balls and materials, catalogs and all print collateral, packaging/dielines, bat and equipment designing, signage, photo shoots and photography, tradeshows, to website design support. All the while learning strong management skills and art direction.
At the end of September in 2014 I decided it was time to leave Baden Sports and take on new design challenges.
